Through disease, famine, and bickering betweeen Masquerpets, the trolls retreated from the Leren Mountains into the caves. The caves were said to contain magical mushrooms that could prolong the life of those who ate them, and it is said that the trolls who once lived in the cave may still live there, in the darkness. Perhaps a sample of the local fungi could hold some clues... |
