General information | Master Quest
Using the regular quest system, you get master quests at [Master Quests] Leila (End of Darkon 3) allowing you to go back to lower levels. There are 6 master quests available which will reduce your level. To complete each quest, you must gain 10 levels from the reduction point and speak to Leila once again. Once you do, you will go back to your original level and stats.
So for example if you do the first quest at level 120 you get reduced to level 60 and have to level up to level 70. Then speak with Leila again and get back to level 120.
Next, you have to level up normally to level 123 to be able to start the 2nd quest where you get reduced to level 70 and have to level up to lv 80. Then speak with Leila again and get back to level 123.
Once you complete this quest, you can get a nice shiny new badge and some other cosmetics through an achievement.
Tip: We recommend leveling your character at least up to level 140 and then starting the Master + Hero quests, to be able to do each Master quest after another without normal in-between leveling.
Changes to your character
While on a master quest, there are some changes to your character:
● You have a 50% experience penalty (You have to kill twice as many monsters as before)
● You have a 50% drop rate penalty
● You can only efficiently share experience with other players on the same master quest
● You cannot enter dungeons
● You cannot enter level 60 or level 80 guild siege
● Your experience sharing level gap is changed from 19 to 9
● You can still use your skills and equipment from your original level
Anytime you wish, you may abort the quest and return to your original level, and your progress is saved. If you pick up the quest again later, you will start from wherever you left off previously.
Upon completing each quest, you will receive a new Master Badge, available through the achievements window.
Hero Quest
Once you complete all of the optional Master quests and reached level 140, you can do the optional Hero quest at [Master Quests] Leila. This quest puts you back to level 120 and will ask you to level up f to 125 and gather 100 Symbols of Shade.
You get the same changes to your character like for master.
Requirements, Reduction, Badges, and Rewards
● Becoming a Master will give you a unique badge, a Master Cloak, and a Tamed Bolo (Pickup Pet)
● Becoming a Hero will give you a unique badge and a permanent free stat page (3 stat pages in total if a Battle Pass is active)
